SARA LISCH: DREAM GARDEN
October 20 – November 25, 2023
Sara Lisch’s new solo show Dream Garden, conveys a rich tapestry of ideas and emotions through the art of collage making. Her work is a reflection of the power of imagery to evoke association and meaning in the viewer’s mind. For this show, Lisch has brought together a range of disparate images and motifs, carefully chosen to create a sense of unity and coherence in the overall composition and narrative. At the heart of this work lies a deep commitment to the power of metaphor. By juxtaposing seemingly unrelated images and ideas, she invites the viewer to engage with their own subconscious associations and to explore the rich potential for interpretation that lies within the complex and multi-layered compositions, unlocking new depths of understanding and insight.
Sara Lisch was born in Sechelt, British Columbia and spent most of her childhood in Oakland, CA. In 1992, she graduated from the Evergreen State College in Washington , with a BA in Fine Arts.
