Oakland-based artist Eric Bohr presents “frontiers” — a selection of recent paintings and works on paper. This show highlights the artist’s work in a range of media; using bright flat geometrical compositions to explore ideas of non-representational color and textured monochromes featuring ritual mark making and fetishized found objects. Additionally several small works mine the modernist still life tradition using color negative space and partial or implied objects to experiment with perspective and physicality.

The artist was born in Lansing Michigan and studied under Michael Jacobs in Venice California. He has a maintained a studio practice for nearly twenty years.
