I studied Jewellery at Middlesex Polytechnic in London UK. On graduating in 1994 I set up a studio in London and then in San Francisco when I moved to the US in 1999.
My work has been almost exclusively concerned with the natural world , mostly birds, and I aim to convey character and movement using economy of line with suggestions of texture and
form.
My wire pieces came from out of drawing from life … the steel wire behaves much like an ink line and more recent pieces have been made using single lines in addition to work using wood and sheet metal which are anything but minimal bit hopefully express life and gesture.
