Paintings by Oakland artist Terryl Dunn bring us to those moments between seeing and cognition that semi-abstract art can elucidate so well. "Works on Paper" is a series of new work and with sure physicality and rushes of energy and color Dunn’s immediate and seemingly uninhibited views of the world share space with the act of art-making itself.

Terryl Dunn was born in Portland Oregon and received his BFA from Pacific Northwest College of Art in 1982. He has exhibited in Portland San Francisco and and New York.

Conceptual sculpture and installations by Bay Area artist Leah Markos look at the blind and shallow spots of patriotism and celebration admitting collusion as well as warning. A minimalist aesthetic and limited palette (dominated by red white and black) lend calm to the fiery topic inviting reflection.

Leah Markos is a virtual native of the Bay Area. Her BFA was largely focussed on painting and drawing but she has been magnetically and irrevocably drawn to creating sculptural works and installations for the past decade.
